Tourist Spots in Calapan, Oriental Mindoro

The city of Calapan - capital pf the Province of Oriental Mindoro is the progressive trading and commercial hub and the administrative center of the MIMAROPA Region.
Driving around the city is fun. Visit the vast agricultural lands to see how the farmers happily plant or harvest their products.

Calapan Nature Park
A refreshing oasis in the midst of the bustling city, the 3 hectare nature park is just 10 minutes away from the city center. It features century old trees, recreational areas, picnic and camping grounds and the entry point to the one-hour Bulusan eco-trail that ends at the seashore in Brgy. Parang. The park is ideal for trekking, jogging, mountain biking, camping and other outdoor recreational activities. Its function hall is also a good venue for meetings, gatherings  and other occasions.


Caluangan Lake
Lying at the western part of the city, visitors will be refreshes with the ambiance of Caluangan. The place is ideal for boating, fishing and picnic spot. The City of Government is planning to put up a river-cruise ride facility in the near future to maximize the tourism potentials of the lake.

Five Islets
The five islets of the city are ideal for island hopping activity. The Harca Piloto Island which is just 15 minutes boat ride away from the mainland is a well-preserved fish sanctuary and is ideal for underwater photography because of its spectacular coral reef formations and abundant species of marine products.

Fine Beaches
The long coastline along the city'd 21 coastal barangays offers a wide range of resort accommodations, with facilities for snorkeling, kayaking, boating, water skiing and other water sports activities. These resorts also offer fine dining, sports facilities and lively entertainment. Visitors can also enjoy the mangrove reforestation and preservcation activities in the marsh areas that are considered as marine forest eco-park.
