Tara Na, Biyahe Tayo Remake

The  Department of Tourism is planning to boost its "Pilipinas, Tara Na! (Philippines, Let’s Go)" campaign by producing a TV commercial which will draw inspiration from the highly popular music video "Tara Na, Biyahe Tayo! (Come, Let's Travel!)" released in 2006. The new tourism advocacy campaign was launched March of this year after the much criticized "Pilipinas Kay Ganda."

The remake will focus on historico-cultural, adventure, eco-tourism, and nature destinations and will feature 41 performers. Tourism Secretary Alberto Lim remains positive that the the media project will strengthen their campaign. “The idea is to bring tourism to various destinations in the country and substantially contribute to their local economies,” he said. Lim also told Yahoo Philippines that people recognize the new slogan because it was derived from the slogan "Tara Na, Biyahe Tayo" under the previous "WOW Philippines" campaign. He said he is sure that "there will be no objections" to the new campaign.
